The Hills Cricket Academy was setup to cater for the increase in demand of the development of cricket players throughout the Hills District and Parramatta Areas. Having first started in 2011 with James Frank a previous owner employing Nick Bertus, Luke Dempsey and Scott Copperfield to be the head coaches of the Academy. After 2013 the three head coaches decided to gain ownership over the Academy and it was from there that their links with the Parramatta Grade Club and the Parramatta Cricket Academy grew.

Throughout the years the coaching academy has grown from strength to strength with several junior players progressing from the junior ranks into the grade ranks and representative sides. The Academy prides itself on the ability to develop players to have a fluid transition from junior cricket into grade cricket. It was owned and operated by Nick Bertus and Luke Dempsey with a crew of highly qualified and experienced coaches in their ranks. 

In 2023, a change of business structure meant a permanent move to Unit 17, 14-16 Stanton Road, Seven Hills as a stand alone cricket training venue. This new 5-lane facility offers players the ability to train in an environment that allows them to develop every facet of the game. Each lane is recorded with high performance cameras that allow for any activity to be filmed and used as a coaching tool. Along with Nick and Luke, new owner Josh McNaught has joined the team to work closely with the day to day activities of the academy.
